The Roasting of Ian Pete and Susan

Looking good and going strong since kindergarten!

Ian Pete and Susan share the unique distinction of being the only two members of SPUDHS88 who eventually “walked the aisle” and “tied the proverbial knot.”

“Familiarity breeds contempt,” goes one cliché.

You can’t be more familiar with one another than being classmates since Prep under Miss Noay and Miss Boladola, almost forty long years ago.

After 25 Years, We Are Richer! Yeheyyy!!!

SPUD HS Batch Raises P10B in Pledges for Grand Homecoming (Well, almost!!!)

It was rather an ordinary day, when out of the blue, a single message in our Facebook group from lead organizer, J. Charles, sent the SPUD HS 88 netizens into frenzy.

Official Batch Poster

After a very quick discussion among the boys, SPUD HS Batch 88 adopted this as its Official Batch Poster!  (The girls almost boycotted the meeting.)

The True Husband's Pledge:

Change "I" to "We"

Change "Me" to "Us"

and lastly...

Change "No" to "Yes, dear!"

Official Batch Saying

After weeks of deliberation, we are pleased to announce that Batch 88 has selected it's official "saying."

"HABEMUS PRESIDENTE!"

(So it came to pass that Batch 88 member Joe Arbas. was elected the 16th President of the Fifth Philippine Republic.  Philippine Daily Inquirer Senior Correspondent and fellow classmate, Anne Jambora had the opportunity to have the first crack at a presidential interview in Malacanang.  The following are excerpts of that interview.)

AJ:  Mr. President, how are you?  (whispers, "Joe, nakulbaan baya ko.!")

Batch '88 Sponsors Free Zumba Session

Au-Au popped a good idea during one of Batch 88 drinking planning sessions.  Au-Au justified that since there were a lot of Paulinian alumni who were out of shape, H.S. Batch 88 should lead the charge in physical fitness and there was no better opportunity than on Batch 88's 25th Reunion and during the school's foundation day celebration.

The deliberation was short as the bottle of Johnny Walker was draining fast the time was getting late.
